Today we head into the indoor arena to work with Larry and his gelding. We continue with the turns and stops, then include in the start of our rollbacks. Great lesson, Larry really started to get a feel for it and Cush really started to respond!

Today we were in the outdoor arena again, continuing with the turns and stops. Started getting some decent backs with a bit of speed, not fast mind you but better than slow motion!

Today we continue our work with Larry on his horse. Getting a little quicker on getting a response. Larry started really getting his horse to free up and back today, speed will come but he is starting to learn to actually move backwards on his own instead of being pulled backwards!

With Fancy down we wanted to continue working on the same things so we got Larry and his horse out so we could show someone else working on the same things. We cover our basic turns and start our stops today, mainly at a walk.

Fancy Month Four – Day 4
Fancy has swelling behind her jaw so we opted to give her a few days to see if it will clear up or if a vet will be called. Today we address getting her feet trimmed up and her face and bridle path clipped up!

Today we worked on stops and rollbacks with Fancy before we headed out into the hills. Once in the hills we showed how to get them sacked out to brush and let Fancy do some leading.

We took Fancy out for her 2nd ride in the hills and Rick followed us in the mini truck. It was an interesting time!! We also addressed stopping with pull instead of just whoa so you can get your horse to stop or slow down when you pull.
